BWT Alpine Formula One Team onthult nieuwe teamkleuren en auto voor seizoen 2025 tijdens F175-presentatie
- BWT Alpine Formula One Team onthulde gisteravond zijn nieuwe teamkleuren exclusief voor partners en wereldwijde media in Shoreditch, Londen, voordat het het podium betrad in The O2 Arena voor F175 Live. Daar werden teambaas Oliver Oakes en coureurs Pierre Gasly en Jack Doohan vergezeld door de voor een Emmy genomineerde componist Brian Tyler voor een spetterend optreden.
- Luca de Meo en Flavio Briatore, resp. CEO van Renault Group en Executive Advisor van Alpine, waren ook aanwezig – samen met loyale teampartners als BWT – en verwelkomden nieuwe leden van de sponsorenfamilie Eni, MSC, Oakberry en Arctic Wolf.
- Behalve de onthulling van de nieuwe livery lanceerde het team ook zijn nieuwe teamcampagne met de titel Rise Higher, waarmee het de toewijding van het hele team aan de voortdurende jacht naar meer succes en betere prestaties onderstreepte.
BWT Alpine Formula One Team heeft gisteravond zijn nieuwe teamkleuren voor het seizoen 2025 onthuld. Dit gebeurde eerst tijdens een exclusief evenement in Shoreditch, Londen, voor teampartners en internationale media. Later die avond presenteerde het de A525 officieel tijdens het evenement F175 Live in de O2 Arena, waar teambaas Oliver Oakes en coureurs Pierre Gasly en Jack Doohan de livery en de ambities voor het komende seizoen deelden.
De onthulling was extra bijzonder door de aanwezigheid van Brian Tyler, de voor een Emmy genomineerde componist van het officiële Formula 1-thema. Hij trad op onder zijn DJ-naam Are We Dreaming met het nummer Supernova. Luca de Meo, CEO van Renault Group, en Flavio Briatore, Executive Advisor van Alpine, woonden beide evenementen bij.
Een krachtige en herkenbare livery
De kleuren van de nieuwe Alpine A525 zijn een evolutie van de kleuren van vorige seizoenen en combineren het iconische Alpine blauw met het wereldwijd herkenbare BWT roze. Behalve de bestaande partners verwelkomt het team nieuwe sponsors, waaronder Eni en MSC, die prominent op de auto te zien zijn.
Technische vooruitgang en raceklaar voor 2025
De Alpine A525 is een doorontwikkeling van de A524, die in 2024 twee podiumplaatsen behaalde en Alpine naar de zesde plaats in het constructeurskampioenschap bracht. De bolide maakt op 24 februari in Bahrein zijn eerste meters tijdens een shakedown-test, gevolgd door drie dagen pre-season testing.
Presentatie volledig team voor 2025
Behalve de coureurs Pierre Gasly en Jack Doohan stond ook het trio test- en reservecoureurs op het podium: Paul Aron, Ryo Hirakawa en Franco Colapinto. Voor Jack Doohan is dit zijn eerste volledige seizoen als Formule 1-coureur; hij maakte vorig jaar in Abu Dhabi zijn debuut.
Alpine blijft bouwen aan de toekomst
Met de lancering van de A525 en de Rise Higher-campagne benadrukt Alpine zijn ambities om hogerop te komen in de Formule 1. Het team blijft gefocust op voortdurende ontwikkeling, zowel voor 2025 als met het oog op de reglementswijzigingen van 2026.
Oliver Oakes, Team Principal: “Days like this always mark significant milestones in a Formula One season. Firstly, it has been a huge effort at both our factories in Enstone and Viry-Chatillon to prepare for the year ahead. We aim to start the year with strong foundations and it will certainly be another competitive season throughout the grid. it will be important to keep making forward strides and pushing development as far as we dare all the while keeping our attention close on the regulation changes for 2026 and developing that package.”
David Sanchez, Executive Technical Director: “It has been a particularly busy winter for the team so credit to everyone involved at the factories for their work in developing the ambitious A525 car while maintaining some perspective on next year’s development. The A525 is a continued evolution of the A524 where he have refined some details and aimed to improve some weaknesses in order to find more performance. We changed direction last year, which allowed us more scope to push the limit on development and we have been pleased with how this has progressed so far. Now we aim to maximise this car’s evolution and progress the overall package in its current form as far as we can.”
Pierre Gasly: “This time of year is always so exciting because we are just around the corner from the season start and seeing the end result of all the hard work from the off-season. I am entering my eighth year in Formula One and I am just as excited to get the season underway as I was when I made my debut midway in 2017. I have been working hard over the winter months to prepare myself for the year and I am looking forward to getting out on track next week and getting my first feel of the A525.”
Jack Doohan: “I am looking forward to the 2025 season with BWT Alpine Formula One Team and making the step up to the full-time race seat. To have been able to make my debut with the team last year in Abu Dhabi was a dream come true and a great opportunity to familiarise myself with the weekend set up ahead of this coming season. Now I am excited to get back out on track and test the A525 in Bahrain ahead of my home race in Australia next month.”
