Renault ready for Dutch Design Week 2023

Renault is ready to shine during Dutch Design Week (DDW), the largest design event in Northern Europe which will be held in Eindhoven from October 21 to 29 this year. As a partner of DDW 2023, Renault will showcase four cars at its own booth and deploy 35 Renault Megane E-Tech electric models ‘Design Rides’ as a 100% electric shuttle service. In addition, Laurens van den Acker, Chief Design Officer at Renault Group, will give a presentation on October 28 at the Renault booth in the famous venue ‘the Klokgebouw’.

RENAULT BOOTH IN ‘THE KLOKGEBOUW’

The all-new fifth generation Renault Scenic E-Tech electric will be presented to the Dutch public for the first time during DDW. With this all-electric family car, Renault takes sustainable design and development to the next level. For example, up to 24% of the vehicle’s materials are recycled and 90% of the entire car is recyclable at the end of its life, including the battery. The Scenic E-Tech electric therefore marks an important step in achieving Renault Group’s ambition to become carbon neutral in Europe by 2040, and globally by 2050.

In addition to the Scenic E-Tech electric, three unique concept cars that were created in collaboration with renowned designers, are also exhibited at the Renault booth in the famous Klokgebouw in Eindhoven: the Twingo x Sabine Marcelis, the R5 Diamant by Pierre Gonalons and the R4 Suite n4 by Mathieu Lehanneur.

DESIGN RIDES

Furthermore, during DDW, Renault is clearly visible in the city of Eindhoven. The brand will deploy 35 Renault Megane E-Tech electric models as so-called Design Rides. These 100% electric cars will serve as a comfortable, locally emission-free shuttle service to transport around 350,000 visitors between the more than a hundred DDW locations throughout Eindhoven. The Design Rides are immediately recognizable by the DDW stickers and all have a striking design object from a participating designer on the roof.

LAURENS VAN DEN ACKER

On Saturday, October 28, DDW visitors can also attend a presentation by a special guest. Laurens van den Acker, Chief Design Officer at Renault Group, takes you through the process from design to production, using the new Renault Scenic E-Tech electric as an example. The presentation ‘From Scenic Vision to Scenic E-Tech electric’ starts at 14:30h for DDW visitors at the Renault booth in the Klokgebouw.
