Laurens van den Acker guest speaker at Dutch Design Week 2023
Renault is once again involved in Dutch Design Week (DDW), which is currently in full swing. The 35 electric Renault Megane E-Tech electric 'Design Rides' can be seen throughout Eindhoven and the Renault stand in the Klokgebouw is also liked by visitors. A highlight this coming weekend will be Laurens van den Acker, Chief Design Officer Renault Group. He will give a presentation about the design process of the new Renault Scenic E-Tech electric this Saturday, October 28 at 14:30h on the Renault stand.
With the Scenic Vision concept car back in 2022, Renault already gave a foretaste of how cars can be designed more sustainably. But how do you put this into practice? Based on the theme ‘From Scenic Vision to Scenic E-Tech Electric’, Laurens van den Acker, Chief Design Officer Renault Group, delves deeper into the design process of a car and how sustainable choices are already made.
Making progressive, more responsible and safer mobility available to as many people as possible, requires a new approach to cars and how we use them. It means that the impact of cars on the environment will have to be reduced throughout their life cycle: from design and production, on the road to the end of their life.
Laurens van den Acker will give a clear answer to this from Renault’s vision and with the help of the all-new new Renault Scenic E-Tech electric. The fifth generation Scenic, which will be on display for the first time in the Netherlands during DDW 2023, is Renault’s first production model that translates the brand’s new development strategy.
Laurens van den Acker’s presentation will be held on Saturday, October 28, from 14:30h at the Renault booth in the Klokgebouw, and is open to every DDW visitor.
